Abstract

In a scenario where efficiency, transparency, access to information and fast results are increasingly required, role-based management is replaced by process-based management.
In the theoretical approach, this article analyzes some key concepts of Business Process Management making it possible to observe the importance of access to information and the possibility of exchanging experiences with other fields of knowledge, it was also possible to observe the advantages of Business Process Management for the public service; In the practical approach, an analysis was made of seven Business Process Office present in the Brazilian public service, demonstrating their degree of interventionism in the processes based on the form of performance - guiding, serving or facilitating - in order to define the degree of maturity in this way management in the current public scenario. It was possible to conclude that Brazilian public management has not yet reached a high degree of maturity, however, it has the potential to evolve.
